Krav Maga is the official hand-to-hand combat system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It's also the preferred system for U.S. Military and law enforcement personnel. Krav Maga is not a traditional martial art. No katas. No rituals.
Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self defense in the shortest possible time. Learn to defend against common chokes, grabs, and bearhugs, as well as weapons such as guns, knives, and sticks. Just as important, we teach people to function during the stress and shock of a sudden, violent encounter. Tested on the battlefield and in the streets, Krav Maga's practical approach to self defense will make you safer and more secure.
Students start out as Level 1 and gradually learn more advanced fighting and self defense techniques with the ultimate goal being to reach Level 5 (black belt level). Krav Maga incorporates 3 main aspects into their curriculum: Self Defense, Fitness, and Fighting. For students who wish to concentrate on one aspect, White Tiger Krav Maga also offers the following classes:
As a part of our Krav Maga program, students are open to all classes offered in the Krav Maga schedule and not limited only to Krav Maga classes. Check out any of the following classes-
This class features a combination of strength training, dynamic flexibility, and heavy bag work. The focus of this class is to emphasize muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. Students will learn correct body alignment to maximize efficiency, while refining Krav Maga technique through repetition, drills, and punch kick combinations on the bag. Boxing gloves or bag gloves are required.
Kickboxing begins with a rhythmical warm-up working KM technique, then moves into drills and combinations on the bag. An emphasis is placed on interval training throughout the duration of class to stress cardiovascular strength. Class concludes with core training and/or a stretch segment. Boxing gloves or bag gloves are required.
Weapons defense class focuses solely on how to defend against an armed attacker when unarmed. Classes cover defense against guns, knives, sticks, and much more. Learn to save yourself or a loved one from any situation; moreover, have the confidence to know that you can handle any situation thrown your way.
This beginning level fight class is designed for those students who want to experience fighting in a step by step, methodical, non intimidating fashion. The students will learn the essential strikes, blocks, and movements of Krav Maga street fighting and will be brought along slowly until they are accustomed to the contact that occurs in a fight. There will be some degree of contact in every class, beginning with minimal contact the first few weeks and ending with light sparring by the end of the course.
To become a complete fighter you must know how to fight on the ground. Although Krav Maga does offer very effective ground fighting techniques in KM classes, this class is designed to focus on just grappling. Based on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu this class teaches the art of grappling while in a ground fight.
Students will learn escapes from various holds and positions as well as offensive moves such as joint locks and submissions.
Boxing is in principle a sport, more than a martial art. Matches are heavily regulated and when it comes to punching technique and power, and there are few martial arts that are as focused on fist strikes as pugilism is. In addition, fighters are well known for fantastic footwork and the manipulation of angles to beat their opponents. Combined, these two a spects make these athletes very dangerous in fights.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. It teaches that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique—most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the other person. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be trained for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self defense .
